My tango teacher Claire Loewe is marrying her partner Monty next weekend, so they had their ‘first dance’ at tonight’s Tango South London’s monthly milonga, along with champagne and cake. Their expressions pretty much say it all.

Dulwich Picture Gallery this weekend hosted the Village Books Children’s Book Festival, including a Tiara Club party this morning for “aspiring princesses”. At the allotted time of 10.30am, there was a huge queue of little girls and their parents, many in wonderful costumes.
Hibiscus flowers coloured the champagne today of Lisa and Alan to celebrate their wedding. They arrived at Westminster Register Office ready for their morning ceremony ahead of time. Shireen, Ben and I dodged rain and hail at lunchtime to shoot their engagement portrait session at Wimbledon, near their home. We managed to get in about a half an hour in between showers and only a little mud – but the shafts of sunlight and damp leaves made for some wonderful images.
