Portman Village Summer Lounge Street Party was on yesterday near London’s Marble Arch, which included the Homemade London shop, run by Nicola Barron, of Brockley. I popped along to see their open day and she was having her first sniff of the Homemade London signature scent by perfumier Tanya Moulding, otherwise known as The Perfume Mistress.
Many of the storeholders, including Homemade London, had taken their wares onto the footpath which had been given a lawn for the occasion. Canine friends of the owners and their clients were making the most of the sunshine. Here is a doggy portrait of Shitzu Riply and his owner Chris, both regulars at Beauty Rose Centre in New Quebec Street.
A few doors along, Louie the Great Dane was keeping an eye on his owner’s shop Eliská – here are some portraits of him too.
I’ll be doing some more dog portraits at Anthropologie in Kings Road, Chelsea, today between 2pm and 3.30pm in an event run by Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. There will be fun events and games for the store’s many dog owners and some Battersea dogs that need new homes. Do come down with your pooches and say hello. In case you didn’t know, the store has a large glass jar of doggy treats on the till counter, including small ones for tiny doggy mouths.
